It is the freshness of the deep spring of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60, more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. Wegrow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skins, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust. Whether 60 or 16,there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young. When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

先静静的聆听别人标准的发音，一到五遍，熟悉这句话的停顿与发音要点。
跟读一遍，声音不要大过录音机
第二遍大声朗读，发现和录音机不同的语音语调。
第三遍，关闭录音机，自己读，并且录音下来，做对比，并纠正。
其次
第一，你在读英语时，要稍慢些，可以向一些外教说话的速度那样！第二，比照着一些外国电影，最好是20世纪中后期的，如赫本的…来练习声调抑扬，这是感情起伏的体现第三，就得配加上生动的面部表情和肢体语言

1、由于这些孩子不认识字，因此老师的范读和教读尤为重要。同时要求学生要做到耳到、眼到、手到、口到，“四到”。即眼睛看到，耳朵听到，手指指到，嘴巴读到，这一点尤为重要。 2、抽生读，让其他孩子评，说说哪里加了字或漏了字，哪里读错了字等等，接着再进一步进行小组赛读，其他组孩子评，比比谁听得最认真对认真的孩子进行表扬和奖励小红花等，激起孩子们听的积极性。 3、“小老师”教读。 这样有两大好处：一来老师可以有时间去巡视，督促孩子们是否做到“四到”，还可以随时纠正教读中可能出现的错误和问题。二是选“小老师”这个举动能极大地调动孩子的积极性。在他们眼里，老师是那么神圣，能当上“小老师”对他们来说，既是一种荣誉，更是一种肯定！人人都会为之而努力。
